THE YVGKA AND THE YAKIMA WARRIORS OF THE AIFA HAS PARTNERSHIPED TOGETHER TO FORM THE YAKIMA VALLEY WARRIORS YOUTH INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE. THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE WILL BE MARCH 15TH AND THE LEAGUE WILL RUN APRIL THROUGH JUNE. THE LEAGUE WILL CONSIST OF (3) 8-9 YEAR OLD AND (3) 10-11 YEAR OLD DIVISIONS IN THE UPPER VALLEY AND LOWER VALLEY. EACH TEAM ROSTER WILL CONSIST OF 25 PLAYERS WITH A PLAYER FEE OF $85.00. DOGS ATTENDING FOOTBALL GAMES

ACCORDING TO SELAH, WAPATO AND KITTITAS SCHOOL DISTRICTS POLICIES DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS. I'M SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE'S THIS MAY CAUSE, DUE TO SINCE WE USE THESE FACILITIES WE ARE ALSO BOUND TO FOLLOW THESE POLICIES. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE POLICIES FOR IT CAN DETERMINE OUR FUTURE USE OF THESE FACILITIES. THANK YOU

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

A. The eligibility of a player will be determined by the individuals age as of June 1st
B. 1. No player can weigh less than 50 lbs.
2. Freshmen Team to consist of 8 and 9 year old players, who can weigh no more than 105
lbs prior to participation in the first league game.
3. Junior Varsity Team consist of 10 and 11 years old players, who can weigh no more
than 135 lbs prior to the first league game.
4. Varsity Team to consist of 12 and 13 years old players, who can weigh no more
than 165 lbs prior to the first league game. A 13 year old entering the 9th grade in high school
will be ineligible.
C. Maximum allowable weight for all players can increase one (1) pound per week after the
first scheduled game, but not to exceed five (5) pounds weight gain for the season.

D. All weigh-ins will be conducted using scales owned by the G.K.A, and will be observed
by no less than two (2) board members and by a coach from a neutral team. Players that
weigh in at more than 175 lbs or less than 50 lbs at time of equipment issue will not
be registered and will not be issued any equipment.

E. All players will be weighed prior to the start of each game with both feet on scales.
Weight will be league weight plus 10 lbs for equipment. Overweight players will no be
allowed to play until next GKA game when the player will be weighed again. We will
allow players to play with allowable league weight for a week whether or not they made
the original weight for that age group. In the season if a player never comes within the
applicable weight limit by the 4th regular season game, the player may be dropped from
the GKA and the registration fee will be refunded in full.

F. Each player will be required to pay a fee of $85.00 to participate in the GKA each year,
which the sum must be paid in full to the treasurer of the GKA, or designee, at or prior
to the time of equipment issue to the player.

G. Each player will be required to sumit a photocopy of his/her birth certificate, a signed
anti harassment policy signed by player and parent, a fully completed and signed
GKA Player's contract, written evidence of a physical exam, and approval of GKA
participation from a physician or a physician assistant dated on or after January 1st of
each year of at time of equipment issue to the player.

H. Uniforms and helmets will not be marked or "decorated" in any way without prior
approval of the Board. Players shall not substitute any equipment that is issued by the
league without approval of the Board except for mouthpieces. Only tennis shoes and
molded rubber, plastic cleats are allowed for athletic shoes. Players in violation of this rule will
not be eligible to play in any league game until the situation is corrected. Parents are allowed to purchase a hard shell chinstrap that meets league requirements.

I. If a player signs a GKA Player's Contract with a GKA team, he must play for that team for
the entire season, unless the head coach of the team he first signed with gives the player a
release. Such releases shall not be unreasonably withheld.

PARENT & FAN PARTICIPATION AT GAMES

Parents and fans are strongly urged to attend GKA Games and to provide positive support and encouragement to ALL GKA players and coaches, and to the officials.

ONLY Coaches, players, officials and persons acting as a down and stick marker official are allowed on the sidelines or on the field at any GKA game.

All other persons in attendance shall remain in the bleachers or stands, if available, or behind barriers which will be established by the GKA; Provided that if play is stopped due to a player injury, parents and guardians of the injured player may attend to the player on the field or sidelines.

If for anytime a parent, fan or coach acts in an unsportsman like manner, the individual will be asked to leave the premises by an Executive Board Member.

COACHES ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS

Every GKA coach will be elected and approved on a year to year basis by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. The Coaches Commitee will review the qualifications and other relevant matters pertaining to each head coach candidate, which may entail face to face interviews, and report it's recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Each year, GKA Head Coaches and assistants are required to sign a written Coach's Understanding & agreement, and will be given a Coach's Packet, in a form, and with contents, to be approved by the Board of Directors.

All GKA coaches are encouraged to attend and participate in coaches clinics. The GKA will attempt to organize such clinics on a year to year basis.

It is required that all Head and assistant coaches be certified by the N.Y.S.C.A. or by USA Football

All GKA coaches and assistant coaches must submit to a nationwide background check. The background will include checks from all 50 states and every county in the United States.
